Whats Happening at Cheshire Buddies?

Park Buddies

Due to the colder weather there will be 2 park Buddies sessions each month 5th,19th February and 12th,19th March. All Park sessions cost £5

February half-term

During February half-term Buddies will be running a Park Buddies session on Tuesday 22nd February 10-12.

Tiger Trailers in Winsford held a Christmas jumper day on Friday 10th December that raised £250 for Buddies. This will be used to fund the new bowling club. Do you know of a local company that has a fund raising pot and who would fund raise for a local charity? We would really like to talk to them about what we do at Buddies. If you can help please speak to Stephanie on 07873423389.

Bingo prizes

On Saturday’s when the weather is bad, we will be inside playing games. Bingo is always a popular choice with the children so if you have any unwanted Christmas presents that we could use for prizes please hand them to a member of the team at the next park session.

Sibling Young Carers

The sibling young carers group have a number of different activities planned on a Saturday throughout the winter months including days out, trampolining and ten-pin bowling. All members of the group care for a disabled brother or sister. For more information contact a member of the team.

Bowling Buddies

In January Buddies launched a new group called Bowling Buddies. This is a trial club which will run every Wednesday evening for 12 weeks.. The group is aimed at older disabled children and young people aged 14-25 years. Cost will be £5 a week and the group will visit Macclesfield and Newcastle under Lyme ten pin bowling. There is currently a waiting list but if you would like to know more about the group and add your name contact Louise on 07938163103

Teddy bears

Do you have any old teddy bears that you could donate?
We have been using them as part of fund raising activities including name the teddy and teddy tombola. Anything donated will be used to raise funds for future buddies activities, just hand them to a member of the team.

Coming soon

The Buddies team are currently working with a number of local clubs, looking at new activities for the children, including Sandbach football club for football coaching sessions. Boxability for boxing sessions, Congleton tennis club for tennis sessions and the Oakhanger project for canoeing sessions in the summer.
