A project launched in May to support disabled children and young people at home coming out of COVID-19. Buddies workers set up activities in the child’s garden and play with them for several hours. The aim of the project is to support disabled children as well as part carers to have a break and have some fun. The funding means that at the end of the session children can keep some of the toys and games that they have played with. We will be running garden buddies through out the summer. For more information contact a member of the Buddies team.
‘Tatton Park Buddies’
Thank you to everyone at The Cheshire Community Foundation and The Steve Morgan Foundation for providing funding for Tatton Buddies project. Sessions will run through out the summer holidays. The funding has enabled Buddies to take a small group of children each week to Tatton park for a play, adventure and explore. The aim of the project is to get children outside with their friends which many of the children have not done for 12 or 14 weeks. The funding will be used for equipment, admission fees and fuel. The sessions run every Tuesday and Wednesday. There is currently a waiting list but if you would like to know more about the sessions contact a member of the Buddies team.
