This is for children and young people with disabilities.
Tennis Buddies will run once a week for six weeks.
Introduce the children/YP to the basics and get them comfortable on the court so that they can slowly build their confidence
Regular exercise to improve a healthier lifestyle, an opportunity to move around and be active
Run the lines of the tennis court
To improve hand and eye coordination and to get a feel for the racket – To be able to hit the ball with the racket and control the move
Simple forehand and backhand – understand the different types of grips
Build confidence in making contact with the tennis ball
To work together, help each other and be a team player
To remember some simple rules about the game and follow instructions
To have fun, be with friends and enjoy the session
Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Children will need to be registered with Buddies first.
