Cheshire Buddies would like to thank you and all the co-op stores locally who supported the changing Lives project through the co-op community fund. Over 12 months members raised over £8,000 for the project.

The fund has made a huge difference to the group mainly due to the fact that we lost our main source of income for the group during the summer.

The Co-op fund has enabled us to continue running the group and to continue supporting local disabled adults, most of whom live near a co-op who have been supporting the project.

We have produced a photo book showing what the group have been doing as a result of the funding which has included a chocolate workshop, pottery workshop, trips to Llandudno, Blackpool, Crosby beach, Prestatyn, Wirral country park, on the Audlem lass and a residential in Yorkshire.

The members of the changing Lives group have limited opportunities to meet with friends, to visit places and to do the things we take for granted. Many of the group are socially isolated and lonely. The group gives people the opportunity to meet and to have shared experiences.

Thank you to all co-op customers.
