CCBS Summer Holiday Activities 2021 in Cheshire West

For children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and sibling young carers.

Activity dates are as follows:

 

CHESHIRE WEST FAMILY ACTIVITY AT URBAN AIR in WINSFORD

Activity: Trampoline session at Urban Air in Winsford. This will be targeted at children with physical disabilities and autism. Parents will be able to have a break while staff support children to trampoline.

Age: Family activity

When: 4,11,18 and 25 August

Time: 9am to 10am

CHESHIRE WEST FAMILY ACTIVITY AT GROZONE in NORTHWICH

Activity: This will be targeted at children and families (including siblings who are young carers). At Grow Zone there will be forest school type activities, cooking on an open fire. We will make something healthy to eat during each session.

Children will be able to play supported by buddy’s staff. The sessions will be fun, children will develop new skills, children will be involved in forest school type activities.

Age: Family activity

When: 4,11,18,25 August

Time: 10:30am to 1pm

CHESHIRE WEST SIBLING CYCLING ACTIVITY

Activity: This will be targeted at sibling young carers (children who have a brother or sister with SEND).

The children will hop on the Buddies mini bus and travel to  Wythenshawe in Manchester where they will be able to access different bikes and trikes as part of Simply Cycling.   Children will be given lunch, will have a play on the park and will return to Winsford.

Age: 8+

When: 4,11,18,25 August

Time: 10 to 2pm

BOOKING ESSENTIAL- LIMITED PLACES

 

CHESHIRE WEST FAMILY ACTIVITY SESSION at HEBDEN GREEN SPECIAL SCHOOL in WINSFORD

Activity: Cheshire Buddies will work in partnership with Tiny Steps in Northwich to support a session once a week at Hebden Green school. Buddies staff will support the sessions through games and play activities. The sessions will support children to play, have fun in a supportive environment, children will learn through play, sensory stimulus (sand, spaghetti, jelly), sessions will help children develop new skills, confidence, and self-esteem.
