In 2016 we took a group of 20 children to the Calvert Trust in the Lake District and had a fantastic time. For some children this is a first time experience being away from home and being on holiday with their friends.
The weekend away was packed with lots of great activities which included kayaking, archery, horse riding, night time mountain walking, zip wiring, obstacle course, wall climbing and swimming in their fabulous indoor swimming pool which has a Jacuzzi and underwater music.
The children were exhausted and so at bed time every one slept well!
The children had a fabulous time.
We have also been to the Isle of Man Activity Centre– again this is a fabulous location with plenty of outdoor activities. We were able to visit the surrounding areas on a steam train, spend time on the beach, we did an obstacle course, crate stacking, walking, feeding baby lambs, out door cooking with open fire, den building and swimming.
Again this was a fun packed holiday and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The children are always asking “When can we go again?!?”
CCBS ask for a small contribution towards the cost of each residential (normally £40)
